Lightning TED Talks

Talk Title: Surf: Proving communicated Internet Content
Abstract: In a world where every online service is highly personalized to each individual, how can we agree on a shared reality? And how can we stop algorithms and AI from manipulating us by showing us selective views of the world?

Talk Title: Securing systems from the hardware up
Abstract: How do we strategically spend hardware to improve the security of our computer systems to make them worthy of the trust we now place in them?

Talk Title: Cedar — an authorization language for governing agent actions reliably
Abstract: Cedar is a language for writing authorization policies, designed to support sound logical reasoning about policies’ implications. Cedar’s mathematically founded design, and its robust implementation — based itself on formal proofs — make it an ideal guardrail for increasingly clever AI agents.

Talk Title: Safety on the Frontier
Abstract: Frontier models now hack companies and enable terrorists. What are the long-term challenges and can we do anything about them?
