Abstract: How do you build technology that people can trust? This fireside chat brings together three vantage points on that question: the technologist who builds the systems, the executive accountable for running and defending them, and the researcher whose job is to break them. The conversation will span how AI is reshaping the way software is designed, shipped, and attacked, from AI agents in offensive security research and vulnerability hunting, to prompt injection and identity for non-human actors, as well as what applied cryptography and secure architecture look like at exabyte scale, why decades of mitigations haven’t ended memory-safety bugs, and the tradeoffs between the “secure” answer and the “shippable” one. The panel will close with candid perspectives on careers in security: what hiring managers actually look for, and how to build a sustainable path into the field. Two open Q&A windows are built into the session, come with questions.
